Fay & Tom were married June 30, 2018 holding their wedding ceremony and reception at The William Vale hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
When I first saw The William Vale I knew it’d be a great fit both for the bride & groom and for me. Clean lines, a grand placement overlooking Williamsburg, and sweeping views of Manhattan make this a truly stunning location for an event. I was indeed even more lucky to have a couple like Fay & Tom whose personal style took the venue to new heights. From the lighting of the ballroom, to decor choices throughout and the wise idea to skip the first look and take advantage of the pretty evening light, they put on a spectacular event for everyone.

Jen & Eugene were married March 31, 2018 at Lafayette Grand Cafe & Bakery in the NoHo neighborhood of New York City.
When I met with Jen & Eugene for the first time, they asked me if I’d ever been to Lafayette. “Yes” I said. I had my own wedding reception there two years ago!
I began with them at 11 Howard, a beautiful new hotel in SoHo where we jumped right in to a first look and portraits. We were fortunate that the hotel made their bar and common areas available to us. The clean, modern look was a great contrast to the outdoor and French wine cellar feel of the reception venue. Jen’s gorgeous bouquet was created by Designs by Ahn. Walking outside, the light was bouncing around through the narrow streets which made for beautiful opportunities.
The ambiance at Lafayette is so warm and intimate. For a moment, it whisks you away from New York as you settle in with a hand crafted cocktail or glass of Burgundy. The smell of Andrew Carmellini’s cuisine comes wafting from the kitchen as serving plates are set down for guests family style. It’s the perfect location for a wedding of 70 guests.
Documenting someone’s day in a space as special to me as Lafayette is so satisfying, and I am grateful to Jen & Eugene for including me as part of their wedding celebration.
A Prospect Park Boathouse wedding in Brooklyn, NY is one that surrounds your guests in a magical in-the-city getaway. Unlike the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park which is all about being encircled by iconic NYC sights, Prospect Park’s boathouse is surrounded by its mystical emerald green reservoir and dense trees giving an almost fairy tale feeling. It’s like you’ve been whisked away to another world.
It’s just this kind of setting that makes for an event where people let loose, throw the rigidity of a typical wedding to the wind and have an amazing party. I hope you’ll pick up on the intimate, fun, destination feel of this wedding while being smack dab in the middle of Brooklyn.
Preparations began at the stylish Sixty LES hotel before a first look in the park. A ketubah signing set the stage for the ceremony and the rest is history.

Making a lot of press this week was Jay & Tony’s noted wedding at the Plaza Hotel which was shared with millions via the Huffington Post. Soon after, Business Insider picked it up calling me “NYC’s most sought-after wedding photog”. And then just yesterday, Style Me Pretty which sits atop the wedding blogosphere said that Jay and Tony’s wedding “shouldn’t be missed”, adding “the elegant beauty from Brian Hatton Photography definitely ranks amongst the prettiest.” Flattering for sure – but I’m so happy that their wedding could be shared as an inspiration to others.
