Queensberry DUO Album

There is no album quite like the Queensberry DUO.  Handmade in New Zealand, Queensberry is a family owned company of album artisans building the finest bound wedding books in the industry.  The word "DUO" refers to the unique opportunity to present hand trimmed, double matted prints alongside flush mounted images.  The 100% cotton pagemounts and glove-soft leathers ooze luxury.  This marriage of modern and classic makes for a one of a kind album. At 18x10", there is no DUO quite like this one.  As I photograph on a wedding day, I look at the entire scene often shooting with wide angle lenses to give context.  The cinematic perspective of this particular size of album extremely complementary.  Silver halide technology on Kodak Endura Lustre stock is the printing method for these exceptional albums. Even with all the cover options available, I tend to gravitate towards simple blind embossing on these Queensberry Albums.

Matte Fine Art Album : Robin & Greg

Nestled in between my flush mount and flagship Queensberry DUO matted/flush albums, I am thrilled to introduce my new matte fine art series album. Similar to a flush mount at first glance, these new books offer a distinctive high resolution printing process on matte fine art paper.  Epson UltraChrome K3 inks, sprayed directly on to the paper, produce an amazing tonal range and unprecedented detail. The prints, vivid and almost three dimensional in appearance, come alive on the page. The characteristics of this type of presentation call for a museum style arrangement of the images.  Each page features one to four images with a white border giving each spread a strong, gallery-like presence. A custom box is another notable feature of this type of album.  Echoing the cover of the album itself, the box features the same image in a cutout window.

Queensberry Press : Reportage Wedding Album

For a while now I've been searching for an album that was like a museum gallery for wedding images. I wanted it to be exceedingly simple but unique - allowing each photograph to be equally important. Late this summer, Queensberry released a new product line - I ordered a sample right away. This new offering's beauty lies in its simplicity. One image per page is presented in a simple clean mat and press printed on stunning matte art paper. Narrative photojournalism is the concentration of this album telling the story of an entire day in a concise collection of images. So beautifully presented, you stop to consider each image - giving them their due weight. The buckram cover, reminiscent of a volume in a library - gives it authority.
