A June wedding at India House in New York, NY.
I’ve known Sarah for a decade so it was especially nice to get the chance to photograph her wedding this past summer! Many of my friends from grad school were there which makes for a fun event to shoot.
Dating back to the 1830’s, India House is buried in a sea of skyscrapers in the Financial District of Manhattan with the ever so perfect address “1 Hanover Sq”. Today a private club, it offers a number of iconic rooms which lead guests from the ground floor, up a flight for cocktails and then to the top floor ballroom for dinner. A short stroll from the waterfront, India House is ideally located near many hotels and opportunities for portraiture.
I was so excited that Sarah chose Design by Ahn for her decor because they are always one my favorite florists in New York. They perfectly blend the natural, organic look that’s become popular with something that is composed and classic. I’m just not someone who notices flowers on a day to day basis and Designs by Ahn is always a vendor I notice.
