WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN NYC AND BEYOND
ABOUT
When two people and their families are united, these memories are best photographed naturally and honestly, as they happen. My work is clean, contemporary and true to life.
I’M BRIAN HATTON
When I first moved to New York in the age of the flip phone to study the cello in college, I loved walking around the Upper West Side at all hours taking photos on a cheap point and shoot. For a school assignment I made a photo essay highlighting the gentrification of Morningside Heights to which the professor remarked, “you should be a photographer”. Fair enough.
Today, I create images that show the nuances of personal connections in a way that is sophisticated yet unpretentious and refreshingly real. Whether you're planning a modern, minimalist celebration or a classic, lavish affair, I’ll help you tell your unique story.
These efforts garner attention in international wedding photojournalism features and editorials in New York, Well Wed, The Knot, Sophisticated Weddings NY and Wedding Style magazines. MODWEDDING named me one of the “Best Wedding Photographers in New York” and MYWEDDING magazine named me one of the “Top 10 NYC Wedding Photographers”.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I am busy as a commercial and performing arts photographer around New York City or editing pictures and changing diapers in NJ. After 17 years of living a millennial’s dream life in Manhattan going to restaurants and traveling with my violinist wife, I moved to the burbs, learned how to cook during covid and look forward every morning to my flat white. One day I’ll nail that rosetta.
Comprehensive collections range from $6000 - $12,000.
