Weylin Wedding : Brooklyn, NY
Veronica & Yakov were married at Weylin in Brooklyn, NY in March.
This celebration led by Benor & Beik events was breathtaking in its scope as well as the family centered, positive energy throughout. It’s funny how when you’re in a cavernous space like Weylin, Gothom Hall or Cipriani.. it’s so big it’s almost… intimate? The space is so vast that you feel especially banded together with those around you. We started the day off right getting ready at William Vale before a first look in the rotunda and portraits on the street out front. A tisch and bedeken set the stage for the ceremony that followed with Veronica entering through the Metropolitan Opera House-like red curtains.
Housing works Bookstore Wedding: New York, NY
This off the cuff New York City wedding was held at Housing Works Bookstore in SoHo. It rained and it poured and that was just fine.
My first wedding at Housingworks was many years (decade+) ago and I’ve always loved the vibe of the place. For a long while the bookstore was my go to spot for meetings. It was particularly fun to return here with a couple that was entirely focused on having a good time. With me dragging all my stuff and the bride in heels, we walked through pouring rain to a local dive by the name of 169 Bar to hang out for a few photos before kicking off the celebration. This type of day is what makes me grin when people ask what my favorite kind of wedding is because what I truly enjoy is the extreme variety I get to see here in NYC. The day before I was arranging a cathedral length veil for altar photos. It takes a totally different mindset and approach and being a bit of a photographic chameleon is right up my alley.
River Cafe Wedding : Christine & Diego : Brooklyn, NY
Christine & Diego were married at The River Cafe overlooking Manhattan.
It’s always interesting to see how different couples bring a varied vibe to venues I’m at frequently. Sometimes The River Cafe is warm and intimate. Sometimes it fosters a casual party atmosphere. On this day there was a bit of an intriguing mystique to the air thanks to Christine & Diego’s creative sensibilities and penetrating gaze.
The bride and groom got ready at NU Hotel in Brooklyn allowing me to visit both of them as they prepped since I was flying solo that particular day. We took advantage of the sharp, contrasty light in Brooklyn Bridge Park for their portraits as the sun settled down on the horizon during the ceremony on the patio. Christine wore Robert Bullock while Diego donned a custom Alan David tuxedo. Another example of how TRC can take a bow tie or no tie.
Wolffer Estate Wedding : Kristin & Mike : Sagaponack, NY
Kristin & Mike were married in East Hampton at Most Holy Trinity Parish before their wedding reception at Wolffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, NY. I spent the weekend with them photographing their welcome dinner in Sag Harbor the night before.
Seeking that classic summer soiree, Kristin & Mike’s wedding on Wolffer’s deck overlooking acres of vines embodied that quintessential elegant, relaxed Hamptons vibe. Florist Honeysuckle & Roses did an amazing job linking indoor and outdoor with the reception decor while Current Affair Band entertained and dazzled on the dance floor. With multiple locations, vendors and ever changing weather involved, planner Stacey Rogan kept us all on track as we made our way from getting ready to Home Sweet Home Garden Museum for portraits around the grounds and in front of the iconic windmill.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation : Engagement Session : Pound Ridge, NY
A natural retreat in Westchester County, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation offers a different world entirely just an hour’s ride from NYC. The magic in the morning as the sun rises over the hills makes an already stunning location dynamic and fun to shoot in. While Central Park is a lovely spot for an engagement session for a variety of reasons, I sure didn’t mind this change of pace.
